About

A coalition for analysis and counsel on national security.

The Arcis Project is based in Virginia and works on threats to the United States at home and abroad.

Mission

The Arcis Project exists to identify, study, and explain threats to the security of the United States and the welfare of its people.

Some of these threats are long established. Others are new, and are changing faster than the institutions responsible for them. Our concern is with both, and with the point at which they reach civilian life.

Approach

We work from evidence.

Our analysis is sourced, reviewed before release, and written to be read by people with little time. We publish when the work is ready and not before. Where our findings call for action, we say so plainly and leave the decision to those accountable for it.

What We Do

  • AnalysisBriefs and assessments on established and emerging threats within our focus areas.
  • AdvisingCounsel to officials, institutions, and organizations working on matters of national security.
  • BriefingPrivate and public briefings on our findings for those who need them.

What We Do Not Do

  • SpeculateWe do not present conjecture as finding. Where evidence is incomplete, we say so.
  • Sell conclusionsFunding does not determine our findings or what we publish.
  • Act for othersWe do not speak on behalf of any government, company, or campaign.
